Ohio Northern University College Distinguished Alumni Awards Nomination

The Ohio Northern University College Distinguished Alumni Awards provide an opportunity to recognize, engage, and steward outstanding alumni. Below is a brief description of each award and the criteria for nominations. 

 

The Getty College of Arts & Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes graduates of the college who have distinguished themselves professionally or personally through admirable qualities and significant contributions to their chosen field.

The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration Distinguished Alumni Award was first awarded in 2012 and recognizes alumni who provided sustained and outstanding service to, and whose contributions have positively impacted, the College of Business Administration and Ohio Northern.

The T.J. Smull College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award was first awarded in 2010 and recognizes graduates of the college who have distinguished themselves through outstanding personal qualities and significant contributions to their chosen field.

The Pettit College of Law Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes graduates of the college who have distinguished themselves professionally or personally through admirable qualities and significant contributions to their chosen field.

The Raabe College of Pharmacy Distinguished Alumni Award was first awarded in 2007 and recognizes alumni for outstanding service to the Raabe College of Pharmacy or Ohio Northern University and the profession of pharmacy in their respective communities.



The following criteria is used in selecting the distinguished award recipients. The nominee shall:

 - be a graduate of the chosen college.
 - be distinguished in his or her profession, business or other worthy endeavors, and have received recognition from his or her contemporaries.
 - have made significant contributions benefitting his or her community, state, nation, the university or the college.
 - be a person of such integrity, stature, and demonstrated ability that the faculty, students, staff and alumni of the college will take pride in and be inspired by his or her recognition.
